Dr. Sujeet Agarwal

Designation : Associate Professor

Dr. Sujeet Agarwal, is an experienced teacher and researcher. He is a PhD in Physics with CSIR-NET qualification and has a throughout first class academic record.

Dr. Agarwal has a distinguished record of achievements in scientific research and teaching. He has held various positions such as JRF, SRF and Project Scientist in the projects sponsored by prestigious organizations like ISRO, DST of Government of India. In 2008, Dr. Agarwal has been offered postdoctoral fellowship by one of the world's top hundred universities; National Cheng Kung University, TAIWAN.

Dr. Agarwal's doctoral research has explored the nonlinear propagation of electromagnetic waves in the plasmas and in the ionosphere. In a ground breaking research (apart from many other research papers) Dr. Agarwal has shown that the two initially parallel simultaneously propagating laser beams in plasma/ionosphere will attract or repel each other depending upon certain conditions [Physics of Plasmas 13, 103107 (1-8) (2006)]. In another exciting research paper Dr. Agarwal has derived an analytical expression for the diffusion of magnetized plasma (in three dimensions for the first time) and found that it depends on the inverse of the three halves power of the magnetic field. This result is a mile stone in the plasma research and has received worldwide appreciation [Physics of Plasmas 20, 062302 (2013)] ( Dr. Agarwal's areas of interest in research and innovation include Basic and Applied Sciences, Plasma Science/Fusion Energy, Non Conventional Energy and its uses, Energy Storage etc.

At Ansal Institute of Technology and Management, Dr. Agarwal is leading a team for the production of Solar Cars under the GREEN CAR PROJECT, which is an ambitious project of the institute. The vision of the institute behind this project is to bring the industry within the institute and to give hands on industry experience to the students.

Dr. Agarwal has been awarded the Faculty Excellence Award (2012) and the Best Faculty Award (2013). He has delivered lectures and presentations in many prestigious international/national scientific meetings and conferences and they have been widely appreciated. His books and lecture notes are highly popular among the students.

Dr. Agarwal strongly believes that in the present era, the teaching must go beyond the class rooms and it should be more of learning by doing. He is looking forward to teaching with innovative methods and student involvement in research and innovation to nourish their creativity.

Dr. Abhay Shanker Pandey

Dr. Abhay Shanker Pandey, Dean (Research and Innovations) received his M.Sc. in Physics (Gold-Medallist) from Dr. R. M. L. Awadh University, Faizabad and D. Phil. in Science from University of Allahabad, Allahabad. Dr. Pandey has been awarded “DST - Junior Research Fellow Award” and “DST - Senior Research Fellow Award” from Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi, (India) in 2007 and 2009 respectively. He has qualified “Senior Research Fellow Award in Basic Sciences” from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi in 2011. He has achieved “Meghnad Saha Memorial Young Scientist Award” at Department of Physics, University of Allahabad, Allahabad in 2010. He has also been awarded, “Dewan Jawahar Lal Nayar Memorial Prize” at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh in 2011.

Dr. Pandey is already a much expertized researcher in the field of liquid crystals, especially in the area of dielectric relaxation spectroscopy, thermal scanning, optical polarizing microscopy techniques and liquid crystals functionalized nanoparticles. Dr. Pandey has eleven research papers to his credit in reputed international journals (average Impact Factor about 2). Four of them, mostly cited (100 times). He has also published a book chapter in Advanced Materials, CNTs, Particles, Films and Composites, Washington, D.C., USA. He has also been invited to deliver talks in reputed conferences. He has also presented more than 25 research articles in various national/international conferences and workshops.

Dr. R.H. Khan

Dr. R.H. Khan, Graduated and earned Ph.D. degree from University of Gorakhpur (UP).and has been a recipient of UGC fellowship to carry out the research for the award of doctorate degree. He spent 3 years in USA for higher studies on the award of NIH fellowship. He joined as a scientist in a CSIR Institute, an organization of Govt. of Inia and conducted research in the different areas of Organic Chemistry and worked as R & D project leader. He worked in different capacities including Head of Project Planning, Monitoring &Evolution and an Exhibition Coordinator in International & National Symposia and superannuated from there as Principal Scientist ( Deputy Director).. His professional objective is effective teaching and original research.

Teaching Experience (about 5 years): -

Have been engaged in teaching Engineering Chemistry to the B.Tech. course .since August 2010. Taught chemistry to the B. Sc. students before joining fellowship for the award of Ph. D. Took the classes of graduate level in the Science Streams during the research work for the award of Ph.D. Degree & post doctoral fellowship in USA.

Conducted research in the Area of Synthetic Organic Chemistry Covering the Fields of Natural Products, Heterocyclic, Prostaglandins, Drugs and Pesticides Intermediates, Process Development on Pesticides and Drugs, Studies on Fuel and Lubricant Additives.

Ms. Mamta Sharma, has been working as an Assistant Professor at Ansal Technical Campus, Lucknow. She holds her masters in English and presently persuing her Ph.D. in Indian Diaspora . She has presented and published several research papers in various renowned universities and journals during 13 years of her career as an academician. Currently she is writing a book on common errors made by Indian students while communicating in English. Ms Sharma is also working with a Lucknow based NGO which works for the underprivileged children and women.
